CHeck this out.

Image
SO i have not posted for a few days and you guys must be wondering what happened. well ive been involved in a project for the past few days and all my efforts are going straight to that. However every time I have something else I can actually show you I will, for example this morning we got a quick 5 minute jetpack ...it is looking nice with no shading so when the textures get added it will look rather cool    Low-poly, UV un-wraped and packed It is available for download at http://www.Thangs.com FOR FREE.

Switching it up a little

Well today we are steering away from armaments and we are designing, drum-roll*, a medical bed. Yeah sort of like futuristic low poly (arguable) is going to be rigged and all. So here is the basic mesh and some bones, it is an interesting design (I think so anyways).     As you can see the triangle count is a bit high, I assume when im done i will do a cleaning pass taking back faces off, decimating where possible (without compromising shading) Is no simple task for a newbie like me. But He who DOESN'T try  and keep trying never gets good at anything.

More parts for the kit.

Image
Today we made a few mechanical parts and pipe couplers for more missile assembly, as the kit grows, the versatility of what we can make grows too. here is a quick image of about 2 hours of work on these parts. Stay tuned for more at Vishwakarma Labs, where ancient and modern technology meet.  AND DON'T FORGET TO FOLLOW US AND DOWNLOAD @ http://www.thangs.com

THE BOMB KIT ON THE MAKING

Image
Here we have a collection we are working on of modern air to air missiles as well as ground to air and cruise missiles from around the world.  So far we have a GBU-27 (USA), a Sidewinder-9X(USA), a Python-5(ISRAEL), a 15 Kiloton replica of little boy(USA) ( hyroshima bomb) a Shajed ballistic missile(IRAN), a Bloodhound MK2(UK) and a SM-2 Block II MR(USA/NATO). Stay tuned as this package will be available for download when finished, my goal is to make 100 modern bombs and missiles from today's world armies. That is it for now folks. Enjoy.

The RP-90

Image
Here we have a kit bashed plasma carbine. Used a quick voronoi+noise and 2 color ramps for the camo, this one got thrown together within about an hour. i did have to make new parts for the kit as for some reason i didn't have a compressed gas tank that looked good on it. The iron sight believe it or not was the hardest to model.

Vishwakarma Labs, Some renders and procedural shader work.

Image
Hello and welcome back to Vishwakarma Labs.  Today was a day f rendering and giving some details of some of my unfinished models. Behold some glorious shots from today's work on the XB-1 Bomber.  As you can see we are working the shaders and some of that main geometry still, however this panel is looking rather cool already.  Here on that same shading pass we take a look at the cockpit with both side doors open and no lights inside its still not at full splendor but it is definitly giving some good old starwars vibes       Now towards the back of the ship we have more of a fallout look with those monitors right by the energy core's viewport at very rear end of the cabin. i did add an area light 500watts angled 45degrees to the floor and gave it a very light blue hue. To make the sun like (keyframeable) core, we used a musgrave and a noise texture input into the normal of the principled bsdf then for the color used alos noise and 2 color ramps combined...

Hello again there, as we continue to work on the CorAstra XB-1 we begin to do some details here and there,  most of the work is being done on the cockpit for now but we will move on to the entire hull to finish our geometry pass # 2, at this trythm i think i will go through the whole ship 4 or 5 times before it is ready for shaders (provided i end up with decent topology otherwise we may need to do some corrective wor, you know, that vertex by vertex tedious work to manually fix some tiny corner no one is ever going to see, but you can see it so that is reason enough to spend yet another hour or two just for that one tiny error. If it is not perfect it is not VishwakarmaLabs ready, so as we progress is this endeavor, perfection is the goal.  Stay tunned and check on the progress for this ship, mostly every day i will make a post or two with updates about this one, so check it out.

Some of them random Tips

Well  Seminars are great (yes i did a blender seminar) and I'm glad I learned some new tools for my arsenal ( cost me a pretty penny I better have learned something)... that being said...I want to remind us all of the power of latices...you see, proportional editing in Blender will only take us so far when trying to deliver the exact curve we want. at some point even when working with low polygon counts The lattice and re-mesh modifiers will be your most useful tools in the arsenal. The more divisions, the more control or ever smaller areas., but even in low poly they come in handy  Here is an example a chair or spaceship seat. In the picture above i have used a lightly subdivided lattice to get the right curve on the cushion and back rest and thruster handle for this low polygon count cockpit. It is also good to point out that it is always best to work your rough geometry first. A key ingredient in my personal workflow ( it is time consuming but quality is always my goa...

The XB-1 is coming.

Preliminary geometry is being set for the XB-1 fighter bomber spacecrft. This one is going to be well detailed and at a price you just can't refuse. Don't forget that all purchases from Vishwakarma Labs grant you license to edit modify and resell my products. We relinquish all intellectual property rights to these assets the moment you buy and download our files, so keep an eye out, the XB-1 is one of those that wont disappoint.Stay tuned to Vishwakarma Labs for updates on this asset.   Exterior hull preliminary geometry with some power core and engine room rough details The beginning of the top panel on the cockpit.
